We all know that any computer device logs data on how it was used by users. We know that iDevices are no exception to the rule and iOS logs absolutely everything that goes through our heads, including our location when the GPS is turned off. In the video clip above we have a demonstration of how forensics obtain data from an iPhone very simply, easily and quickly. Using the Lantern 2 program, forensic scientists can obtain all the data from our terminal in just 15 minutes and with a single click.

The demonstration above was made on the iPhone of an editor of Gizmodo and as you can see, all the actions undertaken by the user are listed there. All calls made, all text messages sent, all pictures taken, all locations visited, all Facebook/Skype logins, all recorded clips, Safari bookmarks, absolutely all from the terminal. The program is very easy to use, it displays the information in an intuitive interface and offers the criminalists any information they want.

Such a program in the hands of some ill-intentioned people could represent quite a big problem.
