100 million Android terminals sold to date, Google is giving away 5000 tablets for free

During the I/O conference this evening, Google a submitted absolutely impressive figures regarding the number of Android terminals sold so far. According to them, more than 100 million devices with Android OS have been sold to date, slightly more than half of the total number of iOS terminals sold by Apple. Every day, Google activates over 400.000 terminals with Android OS, 100.000 more than Apple. The figures show that Google with its Android surpasses Apple and its iOS, but in reality we are "comparing apples with pears" because there are over 310 Android terminals with operators from over 120 countries compared to ... hmm only 3 iOS terminals?

Android OS will always have a larger market share than iOS because it exists on high-end smartphones, on mid/low-end smartphones and on all kinds of tablets. Android OS is a kind of Windows, but the important thing is that Google sells a lot, but Apple collects 50% of the mobile phone manufacturers' industry profile.

And to see how well Google is doing, the company offered free 5000 Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets to everyone present in the room during the I/O conference.
