Orange is currently holding a press conference inside the Orange Concept Store and there announced the launch of HD voice calls for the first time in the country. Practically HD voice calls have been available for some time in other countries, Rep. Moldova being counted among them, and they bring a better clarity of conversations. Orange is the first Romanian operator to offer this function for compatible terminals and the iPhone is unfortunately not among them, according to them.
Voice calls will work on 3G networks and may initially be free for all users. Orange intends to launch LTE data services in the next period, but again the iPhone terminal is not compatible, so for us the news is not very important.
do you think that if it had cost someone would have bought it? :)))
In our country, in the Republic of Moldova, this service was launched 2 years ago, in the summer of 2009, but it was not very popular due to the limited number of terminals that support this technology. I've tested it with a Nokia terminal, 2733c if I remember correctly, and the sound quality is very good indeed, but I'm not giving up the iPhone 4 just for this service, especially since I use the phone more for web browsing , social services, etc.
Operators no longer know what to take our money for - who needs HD calls? That we just don't record music over the phone. I don't see who would need such a thing.
They are free.
How do I activate it?
Answer Orange 11.05.2011
The service is available to all Orange customers, both PrePay and subscribers. Access is automatic, only the two interlocutors must have HD Voice compatible phones and be in the 3G coverage area
Only 3 phones are compatible, iPhone is not officially counted among them.
@zaone: You said the calls will be free "to begin with". After that, who will want to pay for HD, I wonder?
@Tigris Regalis: Basescu and Udrea :))
They can stay free permanently, I said at first because I don't know if it will stay like that.
@Alex: To better understand the boys from STS when they record the sweet things they say in HD... 😀
However, the quality of the call is much higher on the iPhone than on other mobile phones, we don't need HD.
Tigris Regalis: will you give me that email?

I also have a question, please help me! I want to subscribe to Orange for iPhone 4, Pantera 12 with Mysmartphone option (500 MB), how does the internet work? Does it move acceptably, that is, if I go on facebook, twitter, etc. does it work fine or do I wait 1-5 minutes until it loads? Thank you!
it moves well, but the price is not the best!
