Apple delays orders for iPhone 5, the launch could take place in September

American analyst Gene Munster did Chart above in which the conferences in which Apple announced both the new versions of iOS and the terminals themselves are presented. Notice that from year to year the date for the presentation of the new operating system has fluctuated, with Apple presenting the first version of iOS 2 on March 6, 2008, the first version of iOS on March 17, 2009 and the first version of iOS 4 on April 8, 2010. This year the company will present iOS 5 at WWDC on June 6 for the first time and it is not known when it will release it in iTunes. Regarding the iPhone terminals, the iPhone 3G was presented on June 9 and was available on July 11, 2008, the iPhone 3GS was presented on June 8 and was available from June 19, 2009, the iPhone 4 was presented on June 7 and has been available since June 24, 2010.

Gene Munster questioned Apple's partners in Asia and found out that for now Apple has delayed orders for iPhone 5 components a lot, which suggests a possible release in the fall of this year. Munster believes that the iPhone 5 will be presented on August 24 and the actual launch will take place on September 9. He believes that Apple will postpone the launch of the new iPhone considering that it will not order new parts for the device and the launch in the fall seems safe from his point of view. My opinion is that things are extremely complicated now, but on June 6 we will find out exactly how things are.
