The multitasking system in iOS is not among the most useful ever implemented in an operating system. In the video clip above we have a small demonstration of it Jan-Michael Cart in which we are presented with a completely new version of how multitasking could work on iOS 5. Gestures would be the basis of closing applications or switching from one application to another, all of course keeping a bar that displays what we have applications open in the background. Implementation had as its starting point the gestures from Mac OS X and the Home button would take the place of the trackpad. By holding down the Home button we could switch from one application to another using gestures or we could even close them.

The system is quite ingenious, but I for one would prefer an expose system that would show me a little more of the application I have opened. The idea is good but a little far from what most people want.
