Samsung wants to see iPhone 5 and iPad 3 before the market launch

A few days ago I told you that Apple he asked and received the consent of an American court to see the prototypes of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet, the Samsung Galaxy S II and several other terminals in order to verify whether Samsung has infringed certain patents. Now Samsung asks exactly the same thing from an American court but they want to see the prototypes for the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 reasoning that their products will be on the market at the same time as the iDevices and they want to test them in order to prepare in the event that Apple will act against them new in court.

Samsung claims that it needs to see Apples future products because devices like the Droid Charge and Galaxy Tab 10.1 will presumably be in the market at the same time as the iPhone 5 and iPad 3, and Samsungs lawyers want to evaluate any possible similarities so they can prepare for further potential legal action from Apple. That means talks have been at a standstill for a long time now, and I wouldn't be surprised if Samsung was trying to put some additional heat on Apple to try and kick negotiations back into gear.

Of course, the companies' engineers will not see the other party's prototypes, but their lawyers will have the opportunity to examine them. It seems strange to me the request of those from Samsung who already have access to the iPhone 5 and iPad 3 components considering that they are partners of Apple, so their request probably has a completely different purpose. It seems that Apple and Samsung negotiated a contract for more than a year before Apple sued them for patent infringement. It is clear that this process actually has another reason behind it, but at the moment none of the companies seems willing to give in.
