Apple is working on a system of dynamic alerts based on GPS location

Apple is working intensively on the development of new technologies and this one, which has just been registered to the company, would allow the display of dynamic alerts based on the user's GPS location. Dynamic Alerts for Calendar Events is the name of the new patent granted to Apple and it explains a method by which a system could locate the user on the map and depending on the calendar entries could display a notification about a meeting that the user has it near his location. The system could also display alerts for meetings at a greater distance and could even calculate the time needed to reach that destination.

Using GPS and a user's calendar events, the system could determine how long it will take for the person to travel to their scheduled event. The iPhone software could then alert the user accordingly, allowing ample time to travel and meet the scheduled deadline. Using a GPS signal, the iPhone could even determine travel time based on external factors, such as current or historical traffic conditions. Apple's system would provide users with the best route based on this data, and alert them accordingly.

The system designed by Apple could calculate the time needed to reach the destination taking into account factors such as: traffic, weather conditions, possible events that could block road traffic, etc. Practically, Apple has designed a system that not only warns the user according to his location, but also provides him with very useful information about the destination he needs to reach. The calendar is an integral part of this system considering that based on the entries in it, alerts are issued regarding the possible meetings that the user must attend. Whether such a system will soon arrive in our iDevices remains to be seen, it is certain that Apple is working on it.
