2011 - the year in which Apple does not innovate and stagnates?

American analysts are already starting to speculate that in 2011 the growth recorded by Apple could slow down. According to them, Apple would practically be in a phase of stagnation in which the company would no longer produce innovative products such as the iPhone or iPad, and the increase in market share and revenues from sales could stop. Several analysts of Fortune magazine and several others from other large American financial companies are of the opinion that this year Apple will no longer innovate, will no longer break records in terms of revenues or sales, basically they suggest that 2011 could be the year in which the success of the Apple company will end.

Last year investors were excited about Apple's massive tablet head start and iPhone share gains/market expansion (eg the Verizon iPhone)," he wrote by way of explanation. "This year, the multiple has been compressed by the market. Investors appear more restrained than last year, considering the big run in the stock. It reflects market uncertainty regarding what will drive the next leg of growth, how much or not Android will impact Apple, Steve's health, etc. A year ago, the iPad was a new source of revenue for Apple," says Gillis. "Growth over zero was tremendous. Now it's not, and revenue growth has to slow down.

On the one hand, the American analysts are right, the iPad 2 did not bring anything revolutionary, but on the other hand, WWDC 2011 must be taken into account, where Apple introduced iCloud, a new online backup and data transfer system. iCloud is not as innovative as the iPad or iPhone, but it is a strong point of the Apple company and will certainly contribute to the increase in sales of iDevices and more. Now everyone expects from Apple revolutionary iDevices and not new versions of Mac OS X, so on the one hand it is understandable why most consider WWDC 2011 to be a failure, but you will see in the fall how much iCloud will matter.

  1. Aha, those who dreamed of airplanes. I didn't know that analysts are taking after them; especially those on Wall Street, who were super smart when they "foreseen" the crisis.

  2. American analysts. phew. Apple's success will end. yes, that's why the stock market value has increased and is always increasing. his analysts over.

  3. iPhone 5 almost certainly in September, but it is worth being aware of the fact that Apple's shares are still "inflated", the increases were based on a permanent evolution, but unfortunately this did not come this year, and the most skeptical expect the bubble to burst break What is interesting instead is how apple, from being an innovator, slowly ends up running after the competition (see both hardware and software)

  4. Don't forget that after every increase comes a decrease, and as it seems, it's kind of following at Apple.
PS Don't get me wrong, I'm not against Apple, I use both Iphone4 and Ipad2, and I'm happy with them, but the future is predicted to be a bit more gloomy. I hope it won't be like that.

  5. apple played strategically by postponing the release of the iphone in the fall, waiting for the copy-cats to launch the competing generation with the iphone4. while the galaxy s2 was fighting with ip4, they managed to copy ip4s/5, but so, surprisingly, they remained relatively in the tree, apple bringing a delay, which also forced those from samsung to delay the launch of a new product .

  6. I agree, but that means a loss on the stock market, and most importantly, the loss of Apple's magic, and from that moment, people will start asking questions like: why can't I transfer files via BT, why can't I copy x file to the device , why I don't have flash, why……., and from there the decline begins.
    MY OPINION 😉

  7. boros, give yourself a slap, maybe this is how you wake up and stop dreaming of so many apple revolutions...
I don't know why, but I have the impression that you are one of those who beat their chests that Apple will release the iPhone 5 at this year's WWDC (I know a few others here, including a famous blogger).
I repeat: if the release of iOS 5 was announced this fall, it does not mean that we will certainly have a new iPhone model. Let's not rush like a big girl, shall we?

  8. Dog, slow down with the assumptions, because you won't find 1 post where I say something like that, at least tonight, and yes, I was taken by the wave today, but again, my opinion (so that I can appear with IQ) but at least you stay polite.
    HARNESS!!!

  9. ok Boros, my bad if you are not part of the category I was referring to. But it is fashionable for some people here to dream of new models of iPhones, without relying on anything concrete. You have an example just above, the very smart individual from no. 17 =))
It is indeed an iOS5 hint for a new iPhone model, but this is far from a certainty.. my opinion is that IF and only IF another iPhone model appears, it will only be a hardware evolution of the iPhone 4, without design modification. And I say this based on the fact that such an evolution would not require too much work, and from the fact that a new product (especially the iPhone) attracts many millions of profit, it is possible for this to happen.

  10. I share your opinion Dog, why I am almost convinced of a new iPhone is the fact that the competition has already overtaken us, see galaxy sii, etc., and in the USA there is a great need for an iPhone with a new data transfer technology, not 3g . It remains to be seen, what I know is that I will stay with my iPhone 4 CP for another year, even if the iPhone 7 appears 😉

  11. @the dog I refrain from answering your challenges out of respect for zaone. If I were to answer you, it would be something like these comments From the link below and we make a place of apple fans a bodega.
Who wants to make the smart to enter here and attack each other because it's free:

  12. I edited the previous message, in which I also said the reason why I think the new iPhone will be just a hardware evolution

ps: "the competition has already overtaken us", I guess you meant "the competition has overtaken them"... 😉
but that was the way it was all the time. Instead, apple knows how to promote its perfect shit. And you know what's even weirder? That everyone licks it and says: wow how good it is =))

  13. Correct Dog, I said he passed us, because being the owner of the BEST MOBILE TERMINAL ON THE MARKET, specifically Iphone4, I feel part of the big Apple family. Everything at Apple boils down to Marketing, and as we all see you. The truth is that I wouldn't give this phone to anything on the market yet, maybe, maybe a galaxy sii, or a WP7 (Mango) from HTC

  14. It seems that I have to get more involved, I see that the discussions are derailing. Luckily I have a lot of time on my hands from now on, so I will carefully monitor the discussions, so that the trolls don't get surprised that they don't use insults and personal attacks.

  15. There seems to be a misunderstanding in the middle: stock market analysts are not interested in technology or how it will evolve, but in how stocks are performing in the stock market. When I talk about growth, I mean stocks, when I talk about stagnation, I mean stocks.

Until now they thought that Apple grew a lot because it entered new markets where it grew from scratch, now the growth can no longer be hundreds of percent, but more sluggish, which is important for stock market speculation. However, I have seen that there are major analysts who estimate that an Apple share will be worth more than $12 in 500 months, compared to approx. $330 now, so the idea of stagnation is not shared by many.

In any case, analysts are not referring to technology, innovation or news when they talk about slowing growth, but to the stock market.

And the Asian copies like SGS2 are just a straw fire, which will not have any impact on the economic evolution of the Apple company and, implicitly, on the evolution of the stock market. The topic of the threat of SGS2 is a frequent topic on iDevice.ro, but it has nothing to do with the global situation, because it is unlikely that a user who got used to iOS and also invested in iOS applications will abandon the iPhone overnight and get his SGS2 or HTC or any other Asian copy, just because he was pleasantly impressed by the numbers in the abstract technical specification list of the Asian copy. No way!

  16. King tiger, I'm honestly willing to change to a wp7 if everything goes as it should, this when I get bored with the current idevice, just like I changed iphone 1st gen to toshiba g900 (wm 6.5), then nokia e72, then 3gs, and now 4.
Regarding that copy from the Koreans, our idevice kind of beats the bottom, don't forget the tablet, which is even more clearly an ipad copy, but a buyer may in the future prefer to be able to at least copy the pictures to the tablet without buying an adapter with XX$$$$$, and rather to use the USB port on the tablet, as well as not to be forced to spend again$$$$$$$ on an hdmi adapter, when others receive it in the package, plus bluetooth , flash, file browser, simple copy/paste of files, etc.etc.
Honestly, I was thinking, for example, to buy an Asua Transformer instead of an iPad 2, the only inconvenience was the lack of applications, but this changes soon, and you know, that then the supremacy of Apple will shake a little .
You know what the problem is, that slowly, slowly you will lose customers. If you look at reviews about tablets, for example. You will say that the big problem of the competition is the lack of applications, but as I said, things change.

    To appear even more intelligent:
Wier werden es sehen, lass uns es abearten.
    Koszonom szepen.
    Night.

  17. Guys who can read Italian, I discovered this ad on a site like idevice.ro. They say that they are employees of Apple and of the major telephone companies…………………….

Dear friends of the Mela, ed in particolare dell'iPhone, oggi we are giving you a news that makes you particularly happy, the new iPhone 5 will enter Produzione nel mese di Luglio and verrà presentato in Settembre massimo per il mese di October 2011.

Le voci delle settimane scorse erano dunque founded...

The news comes directly from some other executives in Cupertino and from some top managers of American mobile phone companies, who are already in possession of the next Device della Mela.

The iPhone 5 has finished its final Test phase, now the next step is the true production of the Device.

At the moment the hypothesis of an iPhone 4s seems very remote, in fact the times are too tight to launch a new transition device on the market!

  18. And you say that those who look at shares do not take into account the fact that Apple will innovate or not? I think they are more experienced in the field than us (not to say smart) and they think about all aspects of Apple's growth or decline. As for technology, I think it is the main argument in expressing an opinion about this matter, given that everyone knows that due to marketing, Apple is light years ahead of other companies, and at least it seems logical to me that it could not break the mouth of the fair in September than hypothetically speaking with technology that I'm sure exists but it wouldn't make sense, for example a quad-core processor for the iPhone.
Another reason for Apple's "decline" is that it was the first company to discover the smartphone niche and obviously, as you can't have cola without Pepsi, so you won't have Apple without Samsung, Nokia or HTC, and the market will eventually be divided between these players and this is only to our advantage :). In conclusion, I am very happy about the decline of apple

  19. Hi Luca,

I want to talk to you about one of the greatest inventions of mankind after the wheel and fire, more precisely: http://WWW.GOOGLE.COM.
After that, the text "TRANSLATE" appeared on the top bar.

    WOOOOOWWWWW

Okay, I'm going to have another smoke.
ps I haven't smoked for almost 2 years

  20. @Mishu: Nope, financial analysts are tech savvy and they see everything purely economically, e.g. they announce possible new products that seem to them to be logical (according to the economic calculation) to be released, but without taking into account in predictions the technological realities, therefore they are the worst and most always erroneous source of rumors about future products. Likewise, when they make economic predictions based on products, they are adjusted quarterly and sometimes even monthly, which shows their degree of error. When Apple announces quarterly financial data, analysts are always surprised to learn that they underestimated Apple's growth. That's why I stopped taking financial analysts seriously when it comes to Apple products.

As for the "decline" of Apple, you make me laugh! Apple grows every quarter, and on the iDevices side the most, practically everything that reaches the stores is sold very quickly. You rejoice too soon and you know what they say about the last laugh!

@Boros Geza: If you had used the "translate" function you mentioned, your comment in German I suppose would have had a slightly different spelling... 😉

  21. tigris regalis, do you have shares in apple somehow?

ON Topic: I bet that in a month, a month and a half, when they release the next iPhone, they will come with some revolutionary things, like higher frequency RAM memory, the same processor (and they will say that it is not yet time for phones of dual-core processors) a little better battery, the 3.7 screen and possibly a 7 or 8 megapixel camera (and possibly 1080p recording) after which they will throw the ios in front, as you see what new functions (some stolen ) they brought in the new ios, I personally think that the iPhone 6 will be a 'yes bomb', they are too smart to throw on the market the tip of the spear they own, they prefer to bang and poke out the eyes of the fanboys (which anyway if the next iphone would be made of kkt, they would say 'that's the way it should be, sir, don't you see how revolutionary it is?????') who take the cash out of their pockets without commenting

  22. @Adrian Vulpe: Oh my gosh, you know I have shares in Apple...

As for technical details like memory frequency, etc., Apple never mentions them when presenting iDevices, nor does it announce how much RAM they contain, but only the functions that are really useful for users. So the new iPhone will also feature new and useful functions, not "spec sheet trash talk" as its imitators do.

And see that you are getting dirty brown from the words you use!

  23. My opinion is that Apple has no reason to release "revolutionary products". I don't think they will make the same mistake from the 90s, when they had dozens of computers in their catalog, even cameras. Apple knows how to release good products, then make them even better. Analysts could say this even in 2009, when Apple didn't launch much. If you remember, in 2009 Apple switched from 3G to 3GS (without aesthetic changes), basically they kept the same 8GB iPod Touch, but they continued on the Soft side. I don't know what revolutionary product Apple could release. Possibly to invent another niche that we know nothing about.
To summarize: apple will innovate the products already in the portfolio.
