Those from Craftymind they did a test between HTML 5 and flash running on 9 of the most popular smartphones and tablets on the market today. The tests were carried out for the playback of video content and for vector and bitmap rendering, processes that highlight the performance of the software as well as the hardware of the products. HTML 5 came out victorious in the tests regarding the running of the video content, but in the rest of the tests Adobe's flash easily surpassed HTML 5. Of course, the iDevices did not participate in the flash tests, but the rest of the devices did and the flash performed much better.

You can find all the details of the tests here, but the important thing to remember is that HTML5 performed extremely well only when playing video content, otherwise flash had very good results. Unfortunately, we will never see flash implemented on iDevices, no matter how much we ask Apple, so we get used to working without it.
