If the soldiers in the USA have been using iPad tablets since November of last year, here are the soldiers in Singapore they will use iPad 2 tablets starting from November of this year. The government of Singapore has decided that over 8000 soldiers from the navy, air force and land forces will receive these tablets on which they will run applications specially made for the army. It seems that the tablets will be offered to upload movies and pictures within the education division of the army in Singapore and next year another series of soldiers will receive a tablet manufactured by Apple.
Considering all able-bodied male citizens are required to serve for two years, a large portion of the city-state's population could eventually be using the Apple tablet.
Tablets will probably be used by technicians, but it is interesting how Apple products are once again in the center of attention thanks to their versatility.
