Although Monday is Independence Day, the national day of the USA, Apple introduced yesterday to an American court a request in which it stipulates that the sales of 4 Samsung products should be blocked in the USA. Apparently Apple checked the devices that are available for purchase on the American market and found that Samsung violated several patents when it designed and assembled the terminals. Apple wants the Samsung Galaxy S 4G, Droid Charge, Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1, and Infuse 4G to stop being sold on the American market until the process between the 2 big companies is finished.
Apple claims that in the development of these products, 4 patents were infringed, 3 related to the design of the devices and the fourth related to the way scrolling is done in applications and the way documents are managed in terminals. I for one do not think that a court would block the sales of one of the most popular companies on the American market, but in the USA many things happen that would never happen in Romania, so anything is possible.
Samsung terminals contain certain design elements of Apple terminals and not a few times I had the impression that I was seeing an iPhone 3G/3GS with a front camera when in fact it was a Samsung. Maybe the process will finally force those from Samsung to pay certain sums of money to Apple, it would normally be like that considering the way Samsung knows how to "enter the competition" with Apple (as they say).

Microsoft e cat unghia pe langa Apple ? Pai are 80% din piata de sisteme de operare PC, are locul unu la console de jocuri, are Microsoft Exchange, are Office si multe altele.
Si Gates isi mai si doneaza majoritatea banilor, spre deosebire de Jobs si Apple care sunt intruchiparea lacomiei.
@guest – pai samsung e rival apple pe partea de device-uri, nu software, acolo unde microsoft inca domina. bill gates dupa ce a strans averea aia de miliarde, si si-a construit palate, s-a gandit sa mai doneze din ea. si pentru tine asa, sa nu ramai .. jobs este angajat la apple, deci castigurile nu ii revin direct lui, spre deosebire de gates care detinea microsoft
Sunt destul de sigur că am mai citit știrea asta o dată azi, în cealaltă direcție (adică Samsung cerea interzicerea de importuri Apple). Și până și motivele erau cam aceleași. 🙂
Probabil era cineva care a prins mai tarziu stirile, a cerut si samsung la ITC saptamana asta interzicerea produselor Apple dar e vorba de ITC deci poveste diferita.

Cred ca traiesti pe alta planeta. Jobs lucreaza pe 1 dolar, dar are 5,5 milioane de actiuni la Apple. Chiar crezi ca se chinuia sa prosteasca o lume intreaga cu idevice-urile astea pt 1 dolar ?
Cred ca e o diferenta mare intre el si Gates – de moralitate.
Moralitatea + Lacomiea = Lehamite, nu? 🙂
