Jailbreakme.com will only be compatible with iOS 4.3.3 to begin with

Yesterday comex announced that the new jailbreak solution called jailbreakme.com 3.0 will only be compatible with iOS 4.3.3. The decision to give up compatibility with iOS 4.2.1/4.3.1/4.3.2 was taken by comex to shorten the time needed to prepare the release of the jailbreak solution. Now comex recommends everyone to update to iOS 4.3.3 because jailbreakme.com 3.0 will jailbreak only this version of iOS. Of course, only iPad 2 owners need to update to iOS 4.3.3 considering that the rest of the iDevices can already be jailbroken on the rest of the iOS versions. Compatibility with iOS 4.2.1/4.3.1/4.3.2 will be implemented in the future.

This announcement proves how far comex was from the actual launch of the jailbreak solution. If he now says that only the jailbreak for iOS 4.3.3 can be released then think how long it would have taken to make a jailbreak solution compatible with the rest of the iOS versions if the beta version of jailbeakme.com had not been published . I think that the leak of the beta version of jailbreakme.com shortened the effective launch of the new jailbreak solution by a few weeks.
