China Mobile is the largest mobile phone operator in the world and it seems that this year it will launch the iPhone 5 terminal in its offer. The image above is assumed to be made by a person testing the iPhone 5 prototype for China Mobile's 3G TD-SCDMA network. The device is running baseband 06.10.01, a baseband that has not yet been released and is far from the versions available now in iOS 5 beta 2. The name of the operator China Mobile appears in the About menu shown in the picture above and it is possible to see for the first time the new iPhone 5 terminal.
Leaving aside the fact that the front is identical to that of the iPhone 4, if you look carefully at the bottom you will notice that the design is slightly more curved than in the case of the iPhone 4. For me, the design is very similar to that of the iPhone 3GS, but the front camera would kind of put out of the question the fact that the picture was taken on a 3GS, so either the picture is fake or the new design of the iPhone 5 will be different. The device above does not have an IMEI, so it is a test product, it remains to be seen if it is an iPhone 5 or an iPhone 3GS/4.
