Apple announces that it received over 1 billion customers in its stores

Today, a spokesperson for the Apple company a disclosure in an interview given to an Italian website that in the 10 years since the opening of the first Apple store, more than 1 billion customers have visited the 330 Apple stores currently open all over the world. On May 19, 2001, Apple opened the first store in the US and now, 10 years later, it announces that 1 billion people had the opportunity to visit the famous stores. The figure is enormously high considering that we are talking about the stores of a manufacturer that only sells its own products.

Apple Retail has been in business for 10 years. During this period, we have had over 1 billion visitors through our doors, many of whom are new to the Mac, as the Apple Store is the best place to learn about all the latest products from Apple. Service is the hallmark of every Apple Store and the response from customers has been overwhelming. We had over 1 million customers sign-up for our Personal Setup offering last quarter alone. Our retail offering continues to grow, with Penrith the 11th store in Australia, since we opened Apple Store Sydney just three years ago. Globally we are planning to have 363 stores in fiscal 2011.

At the moment, there are 330 Apple stores open all over the world, but by the end of September, Apple plans to open another 33 stores around the globe. Of course, Romania will not have the honor of hosting an Apple store very soon, but maybe in the coming years those from Cupertino will consider that our country deserves to have at least one store of one of the most loved companies on the planet.
