During last evening Adobe has launched in the Mac App Store the Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 application for $80, $20 cheaper than the version sold in stores. The Mac App Store version contains exactly the same options and components as the $100 version, except for the Adobe Elements Organizer application, which Adobe did not include. Interestingly, Adobe offers the application at a significantly lower price than the version sold in physical stores, but even more importantly, it agrees to offer 30% of the profit to Apple by launching the application in the Mac App Store.
The Mac App Store version of the application costs $80 and includes all the same editing tools as the full version. However, unlike the full $100 version, it does not come bundled with the Adobe Elements Organizer application. This version is available only in English, and cannot be purchased anywhere outside of Apple's Mac App Store.
