Apple abandons LG and uses drivers for the iPad 2 screen produced by Samsung

We talked about the intentions of those from Apple to break relations with Samsung in this regard collaboration for the production of iDevices, but the relations between the companies still remain cordial, at least as regards the line of iDevices. Apparently the new iPad 2 models delivered by Apple they contain new drivers for the screen and the surprise lies in the fact that these drivers come from Samsung and not from LG. Until recently, all iPad 2 tablets had drivers from LG, but now Apple diversifies things a little and turns to Samsung, although the companies have numerous lawsuits filed in the American courts.

Chipworks' latest batch of iPad 2s, however, seem to be using a new Wise-View chip. Little to no information can be found about the chip at this time, except that it appears to be a technology developed by Samsung. Unfortunately there's no information on Samsung Semiconductor's site regarding this display driver product line.

Although almost all iPad 2 tablets have problems with backlight bleeding and some have problems with the coloring of the screen, Apple should have changed the suppliers of touch panels and not the suppliers of drivers for them. I assume that Apple wants to either reduce its dependence on LG or strengthen its partnership with Samsung, otherwise I don't see why it would want to change the drivers for the screens since no one is complaining about functionality problems. In the end, Apple fights in the courts and collaborates on the production of iDevices with Samsung, but at some point the relations between the 2 companies could "break permanently".
