Those from TechCrunch made the great discovery announced that the Facebook application for iPad was discovered inside the application for iPhone. I presented you with some images of the application in this article, but now it's time to tell you how you can install the application in your terminal. Basically, all you have to do is install the Facebook application for iPhone from the App Store, but it must be the latest version, i.e. 3.4.4. After you have installed it you have 2 options, either use iFile to make the changes or use a computer. In the clip above I demonstrated the entire procedure using the iFile application for iPad and everything went as simply as possible. You must have a jailbreak to do this, if you don't have a jailbreak on your iPad 2 then follow this tutorial.

Here's what you need to do to install the Facebook application for iPad:

  1. Install the application Facebook 3.4.4 for iPhone from the App Store.
  2. Using iFile or another computer program, access your tablet's system files. In the case of ifunbox or iPhone Explorer, it is necessary to connect the tablet to the computer.
  3. After gaining access to the system files, navigate to User>Applications>Facebook application code>Facebook.app. From the Facebook.app folder, copy the info.plist file to the computer. If you have iFile, then edit the file directly from the tablet.
  4. In the info.plist file, look for the line of code UIDeviceFamily and below it you will see the value 1 displayed. Changed the respective value from 1 to 2 and then restart the tablet.

After the tablet restarts, you will have the iPad version of the Facebook application available to you.
