Samsung Galaxy S II sold over 5 million copies

Only 3 weeks ago we will announce you that Samsung Galaxy S II was sold in no less than 3 million copies worldwide. I'm coming today too I'll let you know that Samsung's device has collected over 5 million sales worldwide, a sales record for the Asian company. Samsung Galaxy S II managed to reach 3 million sales in just 55 days compared to the past 85 in the case of the Samsung Galaxy S terminal. Those from Samsung say that Samsung Galaxy S II will surpass the record of 10 million sales set by Samsung Galaxy S in less than 7 months and considering the current popularity this is as believable as possible. The company claims that the Samsung Galaxy S II is also the market leader in 10 European countries, but it does not present any statistics in this regard.

The Samsung Galaxy S II is currently the most popular Android smartphone and had very high sales, probably because it had no comparable competitor. iPhone 4 has been available for over 1 year on the market and most users want something new. If the iPhone 5 had been released in June, then maybe Samsung's sales would not have been so high, but this did not happen and Apple lost and Samsung gained a few hundred thousand users. Now Samsung is on the wave, but it remains to be seen how things will be after the iPhone 5 launch.

Considering the announcement from Samsung, it is very possible that Apple will have sold fewer smartphones than the Asian company in the last quarter and Samsung will become the largest smartphone producer.

  1. Be careful, the SGS 2 lovers will immediately jump on you and tell you how beastly it is. How to get iPhone 5????? You have that plastic wonder from Samsung!

  2. We.
To sell 10 million also as alms if they don't take care of updates and others.

    off.
Just last night I went to orange to pay ab. and I also put my hands on the SGS 2 for the first time and the torch is actually better than my old Samsung Omnia (on pressure) which I change a touch every year.
But honestly, it cannot be compared in a thousand years to the iPhone 4 when you hold it in your hand, the quality, the location of all the little bits.
Regarding the Android system, which I use on the Galaxy Tab P1000 (because I decided to buy something cheaper and now I regret not buying an iPad), it is good but I am still not satisfied with it, the update software from Samsung comes about hard (as was done with Omnia 2,3 updates in a year and then the valley, well, by this I lose and apple wins), constant crashes in applications, in the system, it was a lesson for me.

  3. The pressure is on apple, anyway. The expectations are absolutely colossal, just from the comments here you can see that, 2 out of the first 4 comments anticipate the release of the iPh5 and expect this to change things. Again... 😀 Just don't be disappointed...

@zaone, I hope you weren't referring to me, were you? Although I like the SGS2, I wouldn't recommend what each user should take. In fact, if I think about it, almost none of the Android owners have done this. It's a free world, after all, right?

  4. I wasn't referring to you, there are other fanatics with this Android.
@bogdan gavrila: It will be better than the current one, than the iPhone 5... it remains to be seen.

  5. @Ciprian….he was probably referring to me 🙂
Anyway, I don't encourage people to get sgs2 either... God forbid... I don't care what some people spend their money on... you know that saying "you're messing with a fool?" " ....if they have the impression that the iPhone is the best on the planet....let them, say thank you because there are only x million of us who think otherwise.
approx. when it comes out i5 will barely equal sgs2 on hard....obviously I will be contradicted by trolls....but I promise that I will make a table when it appears, and I will highlight this....
I remember how sgs1 was compared to 3gs….though it is equal to i4…. who doesn't think to open gsmarena and compare....and have sgs1 and i4....but better not....because in the view of the trolls. x is not equal to x (where x is any unit of measurement of some hw components).
It's more about... we are equal, but I am MORE equal than you.... this is how it is done now when comparing an iPhone with another phone

  6. I have a friend who bought an SHS II from the store and sold it in 2 weeks because it doesn't really do much, he said that you have 100 processors for nothing and especially if the battery dies in 2-3 hours or the operating system leaves you in a quagmire. And Samsung is recognized for their "care" for older phones and their support, not least because the SGS2 will be old soon.
@zaone, we are waiting for the face to face comparison with iPhone 4

  7. I'm taking my time and I'll probably publish my impressions on Monday. Performance is pointless, you've seen so many movies and the SGS II is slightly ahead of the iPhone 4, but not by much. Regarding the battery... I used the GPS for half an hour and I was left with about 30% of the battery... Should I also say that it doesn't locate me without AGPS?

  8. Samaung dust as usual, I had 3 top Samsung terminals in their time, 2 of them with Android. With the last Android terminal that came with Android v 1,5 from the factory, I waited 5 months, they released an UNFINISHED Android 1.6 update, it was a beta and that's how they left the phone (Galaxy i7500), they didn't release any updates, nothing and it was full of bugs, a nokia 1100 is 10 classes above android 1.6. In the meantime, 2.0, 2.1, 2.2, etc. came... The Galaxy i7500 community requested a final update for 1.6, no more and they clearly said that nothing more will be released, yes we go to buy another newer phone if we want something higher than 1.6
I swore that I will not touch Samsung again and I will not advise anyone. If you want Android better HTC and LG. HTC also offers support for the G1, the first Android phone. Samsung is simply mocking its customers. Good luck with the one on xda with CyanogenMod because they make better ROMs to move decently, Samsung doesn't know how to put a default ROM from the factory to please everyone, you have to put a custom ROM to please you.

  9. "The Galaxy i7500 community requested a final update for 1.6, no more and they clearly said that nothing more will be released, let's go and buy another newer phone if we want something higher than 1.6
I swore that I won't touch Samsung again and I won't advise anyone."

Funny, there is a situation where I swore I would do something about Apple's c&*(t policies, after they told me to get a newer phone so I could continue using iGO, a software I paid for .Software that iTunes had uninstalled for me before, just to be sure. The rest is history.
2.3.4 solves a lot of battery problems, the autonomy has increased significantly, tested on my SGS2. That is, the battery lasts me about 1 day, 1 day and a little under average usage conditions (calls, GPS, applications, music). You can't ask for more from a Smartphone.
I'm using 2.3.4 stock, so there are no doubts, and yes, I'm thinking of trying a custom ROM, just to see how it is. It's possible on Android, I leave that option to you. You don't like it, you always have X options, something that Apple owners can only dream of. But, of course, many like it and others like to think they like it...

  10. what about sgs2, super amped plus really makes a difference, at night there you can see what it can retain...just so much pixel density..; let there be light; what does it matter where it escapes...for the rest, comparisons on youtube girla...I'm waiting to buy iphone 5,,,but if it doesn't have glass on the back but plastic like sgs2!!! what to do I risk....

  11. The opinions of iphonists about android devices are formed on what they read on the net...almost not at all on the physical land of the device in hand.
The opinions of iphonists about android are from the start hateful...so inconclusive for the rest of us.
Interesting how some people's battery lasts 2-3 hours and mine lasts 6 days, with an update only to the kernel (not ROM) on the KE7.... sorry 6 days 13 hours and the battery is at 9%.... talked on the phone for over 4 hours (at least 3 of the conversations were 40 minutes long). Wi-fi was also used (on the net a few times, looking for some products) and the data connection to download several powerpoints over 10mb (about 70mb in total).
It's interesting how entry level and mid range phones are generalized as a universal opinion for top smartphones (see the example above that complained that it doesn't have updates... don't worry about the x million sold by sgs2 there will be updates... it has already appeared 2.3.4 and it is 4.0)
Final conclusions I want to fix on the phone that there are trolls and othephone haters....but I remark, that you are really pathetic and ridiculous in your attempts to denigrate a product other than the one produced by apple, and to raise a device that is far from to be grateful for the billions of people who buy something other than idevice (here I mean absolutely any phone other than idevice).
You have the attitude of brainwashed people, very desperate...probably with serious personality problems if you end up confusing yourself with the device provided.
You are actually not aware that when you give a penny, you are no longer giving it to an object...you are giving it for status...which is very sad. I wouldn't show up with the phone I have... but I can't tolerate the extremely aggressive and ridiculous attitude of the ideviceists anymore... I'm curious if you would have the same zeal to protect your parents if someone offended them ….I already know the answer…..you are a generation of slaves!!!!

  12. by the way, so that no one confuses me with a person who is looking for forums to troll.... I have 2 ipod touch4, ipad2 (came after an ipad 1).... and I enter this blog in desperation to be able to use the glasses the way I want... although I don't really succeed.
I'm waiting for my motorola xoom to arrive because I'm tired of the ipad.
approx. a 7mb powerpoint...opened on the new and wonderful ipad 2 with dual core and x9 graphics...it's a lot of talk, it's true.

  13. @ramadri the return rate of 30-40% says something else.

ramadri, ciprianC: I don't understand what you are looking for daily, on a site dedicated to "iPhone users".

  14. zaone, please tell me if you limit the forum to iPhone owners only, iPhone owners or former iPhone owners being excluded.
@Condoare, my answer will be zaone's answer.

  15. Off-topic.."The opinions of iphonists about android are from the beginning hateful...so inconclusive for the rest of us."...if you had read on this site/blog and other opinions of mine you would have seen that I have pro opinions compared to other smartphones -ers, only you like to generalize and put us all in the same pot (troll, hater, etc..), in the same way I said that everyone has +/- regardless of hardware and software, only that you have to defend some who start throwing clichés left and right, which often have nothing to do with the subject and only stir up spirits on a blog/site that is dedicated to idevs
"I'm curious if you would have the same ardor to protect your parents if someone offended them..."....here at least you have no idea what you're getting yourself into, other than generalizing with "you are a generation of slaves!!!!"

  16. As far as I can see, it says COMMUNITY of Romanians passionate about iDevices.
I didn't say you're not allowed. I am curious what is the reason why you enter the site daily. If you hate the iPhone so much.

  17. Who said something hateful?... Do you think I hate the iPhone? Of course, I speak for myself. But I think that a discussion is all the more productive the more perspectives you have, right?

  18. @ramadri: You are making a not very good generalization. You don't know who and which terminals he touched. I have the impression that you have small problems. You support your cause with such ardor and say that we have personality problems, look through the comments and you will see who defended what they have in the house the loudest.
@Ciprian C: How to do something like that? It is impossible to make such a distinction, everyone says what they want.

  19. Of course. There are some who are simply fanatics about Android and when you say that the iPhone is better, they go crazy. Why do Android owners enter here? Because they have an iDevice at home and because this is the biggest blog in Romania with information about iDevices and Apple products. There is nothing like it for Android. Why do some choose to start a fight? I have no idea, that's probably how they learned at home. Why do they choose to offend for free? Probably because that's their mentality. Everyone has the right to an opinion, everyone can express it freely, but here on this blog opinions must be expressed in such a way as not to upset anyone. Either you present your arguments nicely or you start offending people and you will talk in my spam box.
I hope you understood what Ramadri is talking about. If your next comment contains any offense towards someone, then you are entering spam directly. I don't care about your opinion, you can say that I am the same way. If you are not able to express your opinions nicely, reasonedly and without offending people, then you can express them elsewhere. It is valid for everyone. If you entered here, show that you are people with heads and behave decently, that's what I expect from an iDevice owner.

  20. Let me tell you something, I would buy an SGS II but only as a secondary phone. I would not replace the iPhone 4 with it and I would take the sgs only if the price was low, up to 200e. Why would I take it? For the screen, I would only use it when I need to see something on the Internet and it wouldn't bother me as much as the case of a large CD. The camera is a plus and the fact that you can see flash content on it under normal conditions, but I wouldn't trade an iPhone for a Samsung Galaxy S II.

  21. You know that its price cannot be 200 euros per subscription, right? I mean, I bought it for 950 ron, true, but with a subscription, for 2 years. It should be mentioned (as I'm sure some will jump) that I had no problem paying the difference of 600 ron up to an iPhone 4, so it really was a choice in the true sense of the word...

  22. @ramadri you are wrong when you say that the opinion of the "iphonists" is wrong because we vb after the net. I want to tell you that maybe I have had more Android phones than you have had until now. During the time when I couldn't find a phone to thank me, I kept changing. I think that my opinion is given after long tests and models that I had, so it is not a matter of opinion.
After having Samsung galaxy spica, galay i7500, xpera X1, xperia x10, samsung i5500 as personal phones, plus a few months a Galaxy S for tests, I can give my opinion and see what Android is used for.
My opinion is that it is far below IOS, Android is not plug and play, you always have to do something to make it work well, there are always hundreds of ROMs, one better than the other but basically they are bad, stay without support from the manufacturers, then you start looking on the forum for a ROM to satisfy you, crashes every day, there must always be a problem, it doesn't work "fur" like IOS, Android, you're still struggling it is fluid and smooth like IOS. And for an Android to come close to IOS in terms of speed, you have to have laptop hardware, which I don't think is ok. That is, for this operating system to be decently usable, you must have a rocket. It's not like that on IOS.
Anyway, the discussions can continue at the end, but I say with my hand on my heart that Android is weak, as are related phones.

  23. @crisalix, almost all smartphones have specifications close to older laptops. iOS is fluid because iPH4 is powerful hardware. Yes, SGS2 is in front, with Android coming (strongly, from my point of view) right behind. What's behind? Yes, there are aspects where there is room for improvement, just as there are some things that I like more on Android than on iOS. And yes, it's an endless discussion...

I don't understand what you mean when you mention plug and play. I mean?…

  24. @Ciprian C every time I bought an Android, I had to search the net to find how to do some basic things, like a multitasking program, wait, the GPS doesn't work, look for it on the forum, wait, the proximity sensor doesn't work well , try to fix it with I don't know how many programs, wait, in 10 minutes my RAM is empty, I find out that in fact this version of Android has a bug that is solved if you install I don't know what program.
You take the iPhone out of the box, turn it on and everything works in it until something cracks in it as hardware.

EDIT: I have many friends with Android, in fact almost everyone around me as family and friends has something with Android or Symbian. The idea that they always complain about their phone, that it answers by itself, makes figures, it's difficult, you regularly have to reinstall the software for it to work properly. And some who upgraded to iPhone 4 or 3gs clearly said that they are not going back to Android, why?

  25. I understand. Well, here it comes to the difference in maturity of the Android platform. You are probably using older versions of Android. You said you had SGS1, did you have gender problems? Because the SGS2 worked perfectly for me, from the first, with Android 2.3.3 preinstalled. And 2.3.4 makes it even better...

EDIT: Well, ask them. I'm not commenting on Symbian, because we're talking about current OSes. Anyway, there are opinions and opinions, I wouldn't go back. By the way, among your Android friends, none of them would buy a 3G, white, 16GB, like new? ``Cheap... 🙂

  26. I tested the following versions: 1.5, 1.6, 2.1, 2.2 and a bit of 2.3. It's clear the difference from 1.5 to 2.3 is constant improvements, but it still didn't make me stick with it. With 2.2 I played more, especially since I had put it on a toshiba tg01 and on my xperia x1, I had nothing to do in one evening.
Probably 2.4 is much better than the other versions, I didn't get to test it because I switched to IOS.

  27. if you make an analogy of the latest versions of both ios and android you will notice a surprise, ios through software update tries to fight jb through every version that it releases, because I notice that it does not release it to improve the software, and android only for improvement of software….

  28. it seems that Apple allows itself to fight on 2 fronts and I see that it does it systematically, you can see what the beta versions indicate when the android that tries to improve its software starts to have security problems (see trojans) to which the people from Bitdefender draw attention..

  29. Well, they forced themselves to fight on 2 fronts.
And the threat of malware on Android is rather insignificant. If you want, you can keep it safe with a free solution.

  30. and that solution doesn't also mean "difficulting" the software? as I saw on a wildfire, it starts to fail....ok I'll stop here because I've been off topic for a long time...probably there will be a theme based on this topic and we'll develop..:)))..and I still have some things to learn both with ios and with android..:))))

  31. I don't know who said around here that the android smartphone lasts 6 days... how is it possible for a smartphone with a 3,7-4 inch screen to last 6 days? maybe you can use it 40-50 min a day but not like that :)) ... 2-3% still decreases a day if you don't use it I think ... I haven't tried but I suspect ...

Regarding the SGS2, I also played a bit with vodafone on it, honestly I didn't find anything interesting, probably because it didn't have anything installed like jailbreak/apps like the iPhone... and I understood that the flash sucks the battery very quickly...

  32. I used to hear this kind of myth with a 6-day battery about phones like the nokia 1100 (who said that the battery lasts for seven days)... but no, the nokia 1100 is not a smartphone, and it can only be used for talking/sms...

  33. this with the battery life depends on how much and how the phone is used... for example, I have a neighbor in the block who got an iPhone 3G and he only talks on it... and he doesn't talk for less than an hour a day and he keeps it for 3 days or so... and he told me that he is super-satisfied that he keeps it for so long (it has iOS 3.1.3 on it)...

  34. The SGS battery does not last long if you start downloading something, if you play a game, if you also use navigation, etc. It heats up well, especially when downloading from the Internet.

  35. I wrote that it lasts for 6 days... in the meantime, I'm updating the info for 7 days and 8 hours and the battery is at 6%. Yes, I updated the kernel (not the ROM, because my stock ROM has NO problems). Now someone is going to jump...aaaand...well you see your naspa android....so you're right...you have to do this and the other one...whereas with an i4 you don't have to do anything.
The difference in design: this is exactly the strong point of an android... that I was able to make that update! With an iPhone, what can you do to triple the average duration??? ...obviously no one read the thread in which I said how the phone was used...they preferred to troll 🙂 (this is not an insult but an observation) ....rather than read my explanation, some could not find their button to reply faster.
Regarding my explanation related to the present, also no one read what I said... I won't repeat it.
Who told me that the rate of return is 30-40%...shit, I explained that that rate is not for sgs2.
@zaone...I don't show my phone...I just argue my statements based on what I have NOW....in general I don't make others attack phones that I haven't even seen in person...plus I said to be on topic, because this is news related to sgs2.
@restu….I am not idevice hater…. but the idevice owner is extremely dissatisfied, and I'm starting to be a little hater on trolls... well, in general, I'm a hater on people who I consider limited and especially those who proudly display this limitation (I mean in general on any topic, no only on purchase of items)
And to anticipate reactions like: if you are so unhappy, why don't you take something else....answer.... I bought another sgs1, sgs2, motorola xoom (I'm not a Samsung preacher...only where the best are...phones and TV) which will arrive in a week.
Also, the statement with what I have or what I buy is confused with the praise... but I think I have to say what I compare the idevices with.

  36. 6 days like 6 days, but what usage time do you have in these 6 days? It matters less, but just to be on track. You can also change everything you want on the iPhone, the problem is that it is difficult to modify the OS X kernel so that it still works, few know how to do this. You say that that return rate is not at SGS 2, but you have no idea if it is or not because no exact data has been provided anywhere. Otherwise, I'm glad to see that it can be discussed nicely.

  37. I quote from my explanation on consumption:

"with update only to the kernel (not ROM) to KE7.... sorry 6 days 13 hours and the battery is at 9%.... talked on the phone for over 4 hours (at least 3 of the conversations were 40 minutes long). Wi-fi was also used (on the net a few times, looking for some products) and the data connection to download several powerpoints over 10mb (about 70mb in total)"

In the meantime, I'm adding another 20 minutes of chat to the phone, and 2 manual synchronizations to the email.
I'm not saying that the battery of an SGS2 can't be used up in a day... it's possible... I did it too.
It depends on what you do with it. But I have detailed as clearly as possible, to clarify those who want to leave the impression that whatever you do with that phone in 2-3 hours is gone... and some actually did it... both here and on other forums .
I can vb very nicely, because I don't want to appear anything... I just wish that others would stop putting idevices on a pedestal... why? ... 1. he doesn't deserve his place 2. that's how I am, I don't feel good to see someone brag about something, which obviously doesn't give him a reason.
On the other hand, I'm glad that there is this effervescence for innovators... because this is how they motivated serious companies to do good things. I think that sgs1 and sgs2 are technological jewels. I think that any HTC product is crap from many points of view.... their inconsistency is even proven over the years. Also, LG is a company after me that makes good phones for young ladies (that is, not with big claims), so for me it's as if they didn't exist.
I also think that Nokia is terribly stupid, and that they will disappear in 3-4 years, due to their stubbornness to work the way they work.

  38. @Ramadri, with the stock battery or did you take the one with 2000 amps? Here I am confused, what you presented seems to be the stock battery...

  39. Stock battery... I didn't even know there was a battery over 1700
The difference between Ke7 and Ke1, for one, was visible to me.... if you go to xda and read obviously you will find people who will claim that Ke7 does nothing for them.... but in general this kind of comparison is totally stupid... the factors that influence a phone are so different from person to person, that I don't know why people get tired of it.
I'll give you an example... X comes and says... he kept me for 10 days... we asked him how? …. he won't tell you the truth, but the reality would be: 9 and 4/5 days in closed territory ... in the remaining 1/5 of the vb with him until he cracked :))
Moreover... the hypothesis is verified that in the first part of the battery the consumption is counted more slowly, while towards the end of its life (I mean the cycle between 2 charges), the duration deteriorates rapidly. That's why some people's comments about the battery are irrelevant most of the time. Because if I didn't touch it in the first 4 hours, it will last a certain period of time, while someone who in the first 4 hours did nothing but sit on the GPS, internet, play, movies will have another term

  40. @ramadri it means that you have a nokia 1100 with android ... I don't know what troll means, but I think it's a term used by someone to offend someone else for the simple fact that they want to impose their point of view :)) ... it is a sign of frustration on the part of the one who uses it because he feels that his arguments are not enough...

Honestly, since I have an iPhone, I haven't been able to use it only as a phone... I charge it every day because I use it for about 5-6-7 hours usage time (depends on the day) for games, internet via wifi and sometimes 3G (radio , mail, surf the net), talk/sms, download applications/videos... I don't know how long the battery would last me if I only used it for example 3-4 hours and surfed the net a bit because I can't use a iphone in this way... maybe I could use an android as you say there and then I can also say to you that I have a smartphone that lasts me a week... for example now I have 12 hours standby (1 hour and 11 min usage) and I still have 90% of the battery but I haven't played any games on it today... I don't know if it will be good or bad but I'm satisfied... the idea is that the battery lasts depending on how and how much you use it...

  41. I asked about total usage, not approximations, I know that Android displays detailed usage. I agree with the last 2 statements. In the end, everything depends on tastes and experiences, those who have good experiences with iOS praise and recommend it, those who have good experiences with Android recommend and praise it. It depends on how you get used to the operating systems, what attracts you and doesn't attract you to them, etc.
Knowing how to jailbreak and all that nonsense on an iPhone, I caught my ears with Android and everything needed for it. Various and various firmware versions for various regions of the globe, a complicated flash program and many others. Android is not an option for me.

  42. Detailed usage offered by the menu:
    Android System 21%
    Voice Calls 19%
    Cell standby 16%
    Dialer 14%
    Display 11%
    Phone idle 11%
    Android OS 9%
    3G 2%

I don't know how these percentages are calculated so they don't make any sense. For Voice call, if I calculated 19% of 7 days and 8 hours, it would mean that I have 1 day of rest... I don't have 1 day of rest

  43. @zaone this with the operating system, I say it makes the big difference between the iPhone and the rest of the phones... not the SGS2 hardware or the fact that the battery lasts 6 days as people around here brag about getting the most out of a smartphone for a week 🙂 ... simply iOS just works... you don't have dozens of roms or whatnot... you simply jailbreak if you need and that's it.... Android is different and it is more complicated... I'm not saying that the SGS2 isn't a good phone, even a very good one, but it has Android... I can't get along with Android, so automatically with Android phones as well 🙂

  44. I can't get along with Android either. That internal menu seems so rudimentary compared to iOS that I thought I had a Nokia with Symbian in my hand. I installed Firefox, I opened 2 pages and it cracked, I repeated 3 times, the same problem. The native browser is fast, displays content well and scrolls by... I don't like that there is no tap to focus on the SGS 2 and this is a big problem, especially when recording a movie. There are small things that add up count.

  45. @Cosmin: How exactly is it different?
The fact that there are dozens of roms would oblige you in some way to install them (try?)
Why do you jailbreak your phone? ... don't answer me ... just think that I would answer you the same way why I root (or if I'm too stupid and don't know how to do that, I'll put an already rooted kernel <>)
Some say that the android is complicated... I would like to know which part, exactly
iPhone: 1 application screen, 1 settings button (here in the list of settings some open in a double column, others put you in the specific window)
Android: 1 desktop for shortcuts/widgets (but no one forces you to populate it), 1 button that takes you to an application screen, 1 settings button (here in the settings list, each entry takes you to the window specified).
Now without any unnecessary malice... which part is so different and complicated between the 2 systems??

  46. @alex: 6 days and 3 hours...iphone 4...you keep it in the display case, how do you manage that it doesn't last more than 2 days on me.
I read that it was written that android is not updated, but is ios? apart from the updates that block the JB.
I had 3g and after 1 year and a half after I bought it, I was left without support, the software I bought from the appstore no longer works, so that I can continue to use igo, for example, I had to sell 3g and put another 400 euro and get an iPhone 4.
if apple doesn't remove the limitations that are currently in ios and if the problems that exist with the iphone 4 will not be corrected (signal, sensor, home button), I will return to windows mobile or possibly try something with android.
3g and 3gs had excellent quality, while the iPhone 4 quality has decreased, and if this decrease in quality continues, I will no longer purchase apple products. also see the problems that are with ipad 2 compared to ipad 1, etc.

  47. so be it, but I don't get along with Android... it's simply a feeling when I put my hands on an Android and on iOS... iOS amazes me from the first with the simplicity and ease with which it is made... iOS is much more intuitive... and my niece for 5 years he knows how to walk on it and choose what he likes ... and even try applications that he doesn't know and if he doesn't like them, he switches to another application ... on android I think he would catch his ears even on unlocking the phone, or through the widget destkop that you say there, until it reaches the applications screen would take a long time and well I think, I'm sure he wouldn't find that button that takes you to the applications 🙂 ...

  48. I got my hands on a friend's sgs2 today. He initially bought an iPhone4 that he didn't like because of iOS and replaced it with this brick (ok a bit of sarcasm because I prefer smaller phones diagonally). The Sgs2 doesn't look bad at first glance, the screen is super OK as usual with Samsung, it's quite thin and they stole less than usual in terms of design. But at least for me and this and all Samsung phones in general lack personality both in terms of design and interface. I always prefer an HTC Sensation or especially DesireS to this Samsung.

    @ramadri
What does it mean for you like HTC are some departures. I also heard about their inconsistency a few years ago, but then they were not where they are now. So before you deviate without having actually used an HTC, you better refrain. Make a comparison between the design of the latest HTCs and your sgs2 (and don't forget to say how ugly the plastic on the back of the sgs2 looks). Also make a comparison between Sense3 and the sgs2 interface. Regarding the consistency and solidity of the HTC, I dropped my Desire twice on cement and apart from the camera that went to hell, it has absolutely nothing. With regard to the battery, iphonists really exaggerate. And for me, the Desire's battery lasts two days in the conditions where almost all updates are active on the active wifi 24/24 and with a moderate use of 3G when I'm not in a wifi area.

  49. I'm sorry that you are totally misinformed... or you want to be totally misinformed.
    1. Rooting has nothing to do with unlocking. They are different things. Both are as optional as possible. Moreover, you don't even need rooting except for CERTAIN applications, generally those that modify the system in one way or another (don't do that... you don't need rooting)
    2. Desktop widget .. you don't want … you don't put… period…. either you sit with an empty desktop, or you put your favorite applications so that you "don't catch your ears"
    3. To get to the applications screen, you only have to press the applications button that is in the bottom taskbar (identical to iOS on the iPad) ... so you have to raise your finger and press very lightly on that button and that's it.
    4. The fact that your niece does not KNOW the icons of the android applications .. how exactly is it an argument for or against an operating system? ... Do you realize that an ios viewer does the same thing as an android viewer? … does it let you view documents?

  50. @ exe
    1. I'm not talking about the inconsistency of HTC
    2. The design of the SGS2 .. I don't use my phone as a hammer to hammer nails, so metal on it doesn't heat me up. On the back I applied a thin case from matte cases that does not come on the side with the screen. The case is so thin that you don't even know it's on. The material is strange, I don't know what it's called, it's a kind of plastic with a rubber/velvet feeling. The conclusion... in general, when I have a phone, I don't look back at it, but at the screen... because that's where the basic functions are. Me and x million other buyers of non-iphone products do not mind the appearance/material of the phones we buy.. as if it did bother us, we would not buy them again.
    3. I didn't mention anything related to the solidity of the HTCs... and I don't say anything on this topic about any phone, because I haven't tested it 🙂 I can say, however, that I am very happy since I saw a video on YouTube about what some people do to test the resistance of the gorilla glass screen... I said that not everyone is at home... and even if I know I can do this on my phone, I won't do it.
You say ugly plastic... I say horrible purple metal (htc) + horrible speaker grille on the front of many models + although many models have 16 million colors because of HTC's proprietary UI, you have the impression that you are looking at a 65k (I said the feeling... .)
Others say ordinary plastic... I could answer 8,6mm... but honestly... I don't answer that way, because even if it was 12mm it wouldn't have bothered me...
PS An 8,6mm thick brick ... mmm very ... unique
    Appr SGS2 4,3 ... i5 4 ... isn't that a big difference?

  51. but I never said that rooting has anything to do with unlocking... I was referring to the slide to unlock from iOS... well, for Android, let's say that this would be a security method with unlocking the phone from standby... but honestly I've walked too yo through Android and switching from iOS to Android seems like a pain... at least for me... and I think that this subject of iOS vs Android is subjective because everyone's preferences matter a lot here... some are used to Android, others prefer iOS and I think that everyone comes with arguments for and against and it is an endless discussion... if you are satisfied with the operating system and implicitly your phone, you have no way of understanding the opposing opinions of others because you are not objective... you will always come up with counter arguments to the arguments of others 🙂 ... there will always be pro and con opinions for iOS vs Android ... I think everyone has their own opinion

  52. @cosmin... no no... this is how I react to unfounded claims... it has nothing to do with defending one system or another... but I know, that's how it's perceived.
I still don't understand the unlocking... I swipe from left to right OR right to left OR from top to bottom or bottom to top... AND SO... I don't understand how it differs on the iPhone?

  53. can you give me a 4.7-inch phone, thin as a leaf, quad core processor, 4 gb ram, 100 gb memory, 16 mp camera, or I don't know what features... if it has android it's over... I'm not happy at all... and yes I am subjective...

@ramadri I walked on a friend's android and you had to do I don't know what gesture to unlock it... a letter something... well that's not a problem it can be changed but it seemed strange to me that's all... this article is about about the SGS2 that it sells well as a phone, not about Android ... as a phone it will be more powerful from a hardware point of view, but as a software things are different ... well if there was no jailbreak on the iPhone maybe things would have been different ...

  54. Ok... finally a correct statement... "doesn't charm me"... as long as the world boils down to that... it's ok.
As long as the statement like... pffff how hard it is... becomes irritating.
I also got angry because I wanted to break everything when I wanted to sell my ipad1 and I wanted to delete my pictures from it... I realized that I can't do that from it. Who contradicts me...pls don't...it's a proven statement not a speculation.... and no... when I clicked wherever you want, the delete button was not present.
I spent half an hour looking on the net to find out how to delete my photos from the ipad... and after half an hour I found on a yahoo group that I need to synchronize the tablet with an empty folder, so as to cheat the system and delete them.... I honestly said to myself at that moment: "Oh my god, if this isn't the biggest blasphemy on the planet, I'm crazy"

  55. yo, I haven't used itunes for 1 year or so except for update/restore... so it's possible without synchronization and other nonsense... I'm referring to the iPhone... I don't know how it is with the iPad...

the idea is that samsung has several types of smartphones (both cheaper and more expensive) and they all have android or bada... and that's why it probably has the biggest sales of smartphones in the world... apple only has iphones and that's it...

  56. A letter to unlock? Well, no, you said that it asks you to write the shogun to unlock. Trust me, it's just a simple gesture of 'removing' the picture from the main screen...

  57. not even... it's something that his colleague put on... that is, it doesn't come set like that, but it's put on later.
LE: Location and Security/Set Up screen Lock/Pattern (=draw pattern to unlock screen)

  58. Users of MacOS, iOS, and other operating systems always find it complicated. This is because the first ones have too few configuration options. Apple makes them so that they are harder to break and give the feeling of ease of use. They are minimalist systems with limited support for any options or hardware.
If you like it that way, use them healthy!

  59. look what the tests say....normally they will come now and say, great cheese, and what if the android loads 2 times faster, what can't I wait, let it not die, typical....

  60. @XsiO….what else do you like to gossip about…can you take me out of the context of the page where android is over ios on smarts?…like that's all you can talk about here….

  61. no, my friend, you don't know how to distinguish between liking someone, something, and being a phonist...but you still didn't clear me up with the respective tests....

  62. @Xsi0 so be it... it loads pages faster in some cases by 1-2 seconds... but that's not a reason to give up iOS in favor of android... if you prefer android just because it loads pages faster than iOS and you feel Well, then it's ok... I've never had a problem or had problems with loading pages... I prefer iOS for the simplicity and intuitiveness with which you do things... I think it's about preferences here and it's a subjective thing...
