Apple blocks the possibility to download withdrawn applications from the App Store

Immediately after the release of iOS 5 beta 1 and iCloud, we announced that Apple included in iTunes on our terminals and on the PC an option through which we can download any application registered to our account regardless of whether it is still in the App Store or not. It seems that since yesterday Apple has blocked the possibility to download the withdrawn applications from the App Store and if you had the VLC application installed on your terminal then you can do a search in the menu Purcahsed from iTunes>updates (from iDevice) and you will find that it no longer appears as available for download. I assume that the same thing happened to other applications and if you encountered the problem, please leave a comment.

A possible explanation for the imposition of this limitation lies in the fact that Apple asked the developers of iOS applications to specify whether the applications withdrawn from the App Store can still be offered to those who downloaded them or there are reasons for their deletion from Apple's servers. If the developers of some applications checked the option by which they requested the deletion of the applications, then it is possible that Apple has only now taken note of their wishes and deleted the applications. In the following days I will investigate the problem, but for now it seems that everything that was withdrawn will remain lost forever.

Have any of you encountered this limitation? If yes, for what applications?
