Low stock for the iPhone 3GS before a possible production stoppage

A month separates us from the Apple conference in September, where we will see presented iOS 5 in all its "beauty" and the new iPhone 5 terminal. If history repeats itself this year, then the iPhone 4 will take the place of the 3GS in the Apple offer and the latter terminal will no longer be produced and will be removed from the offers of all the company's partners. Last weeks we talked about rumors that contradicted this tradition and claimed that the iPhone 3GS will continue to be offered by Apple as a low-end version of the iPhone series and will be available for only $350.

Those from 9to5Mac managed to find out from sources inside Apple's distribution network, and not only that, that stocks for iPhone 3GS terminals have been substantially reduced. Both at Apple retailers in the US and at some telephone operators in Europe, the stocks for the iPhone 3GS are unusually low and in some cases certain stores were not informed about the replenishment of the stock in the immediate following period. If the information is true, then it is possible that the iPhone 3GS will be taken out of production at the beginning of September and the iPhone 4 will take its place in Apple's offer.

In general, a reduction in stock represents the first sign of Apple's intention to remove a product from production. Everything is a rumor for now, but the information is logical considering that the iPhone 5 is about to be launched and the iPhone 3GS has been on the market for more than 2 years, so it could be withdrawn from sale without problems.
