A few weeks ago we were talking about WiTricity, a company that presented a very interesting system for inductive charging of our terminals. The technology developed by the WiTricity company was "linked" by Apple when the first rumors appeared regarding the possible implementation of such technology by the Cupertino company. Today one invention patent of the Apple company presents another method of charging iDevices, but those from WiTricity propose a much simpler solution and similar to the one offered by HP through Touchstone.

Apple describes a scenario where your iMac could be the source of this resonance power to provide a virtual charging area in front of your computer. Keyboards, mice and even mobile electronic devices like the iPhone or iPad could be charged simply by being in a 1 meter proximity to your computer. In typical Apple fashion, they describe that "by doing away with clumsy and annoying cables and eliminating the need to replace batteries, an easy to use and efficient local computing environment can be provided to the user.

Those from WiTricity propose a charging system using magnetic resonance and the devices can be charged even if they are a few meters away from the charger. I have to admit that I wouldn't mind being able to charge my terminal even if I don't keep it connected to an outlet, but such applications are not only expensive, but they are far from being successfully applied on a large scale on any device. If you want to purchase such a device now, then you can opt for one already available on the market but which requires the use of a case for charging.
