In September, Apple will deliver the first iPad 2 tablets made in Brazil

I told you a few months ago that Foxconn will build a factory in Brazil where it will produce iPhone terminals and iPad 2 tablets for Apple and in September the first products made in Brazil they will arrive on store shelves. The Foxconn factory in Brazil has already started the production of iPad 2 tablets and next month it will start the production of iPhone terminals, so these devices will soon be available on the shelves of Apple stores and resellers around the world. Foxconn has invested considerable sums of money in Brazil to build new factories and with the help of the Brazilian government, everything seems to have gone without a hitch.

For Apple, the construction of these factories means lower costs for the delivery of products to customers, but the fact that the USA will now have a new supplier of Apple products very close must also be taken into account. It is very possible that the American continents will benefit from the entire production of the new factory built by Foxconn considering that the USA, Canada, Mexico or Argentina are much closer to Brazil than to Shenzen. The Foxconn project involves the investment of 12 billion dollars in Brazil in the next 5 years and it is very possible that Apple contributed a good part of this amount to have a factory much closer to the USA.
