iPhone, the problem of the Home button and how you can solve it

Recently, many owners of iPhone terminals have complained to me about the fact that the Home button on their terminals does not work as well as they expected. The problem is a general one, it affects users all over the world, so we are not talking about something local or something that only affects terminals with or without jailbreak. There are 2 simple solutions for this problem: either take the terminal under warranty to the store from which you purchased it and hope that they will consider this problem as one that requires changing the terminal; either jailbreak and install Activator.

The first option is simple, you all know what it involves, so we will talk about the second one. Activator is a plugin available in Cydia for a very long time and many tweaks released this year use it to implement various functions in iOS. Activator is a tweak that allows iDevice users to use gestures to take any kind of actions in the operating system, regardless of the way they used to do those actions before the jailbreak. Activator allows us to use gestures to replace any physical button in our iDevices but only when the operating system is loaded on the terminal. If the terminal is closed then you still depend on the physical buttons to restart it. To enter the terminal in Recovery/DFU Mode you need the physical buttons again.

The bad part about the Activator is that it requires quite a lot of resources to work, so it will have a rather strong impact on battery autonomy, but it saves you from the nerves caused by the Home button. To set the performance of certain gestures that perform functions that were normally "linked" to the Home button, go to Settings>Activator and set what you want. This tweak works 100% correctly on iOS 4, but on iOS 5 you may encounter small problems when using it.
