Just a day and a half away from the release of iOS 5 beta 6, we have the first jailbreak solution 100% compatible with the new version of the operating system. iH8sn0w updated almost an hour ago the sn0wbreeze 2.8 program that helps us make a jailbroken custom ipsw for iOS 5 beta 6 but also helps us keep the baseband intact. Just this week, iH8sn0w released a new version of sn0wbreeze that works with iOS 5 beta 5, but very soon beta 6 also appeared, but he was very prompt, so now we can jailbreak iOS 5 beta 6 without problems.
Here are the functions implemented in sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 5 that are still available in beta 6:
- Now supports iOS 5 beta 6.
- Added Hacktivation ability.
- Added option to remove UDID developer check/Beta Timer.
- Finally decided to fix Baseband preservation standalone mode.
- Tethered devices are booted via iBooty.
- Re-added afc2.
And finally the terminals compatible with sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 6:
- iPhone 3GS – old bootrom – untethered jailbreak;
- iPhone 3GS – new bootrom;
- iPhone 4;
- iPad 1;
- iPod Touch 3G;
- iPod Touch 4.
Unfortunately, sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 6 is still incompatible with iPad 2, so don't try to use this program with such a terminal. You can download sn0wbreeze 2.8 beta 6 from here.
Share it please for those interested!
Where to download ipsw 5 beta 6?
From the Apple portal dedicated to iOS application developers.
Lol...and redsn0w? Shouldn't red appear first and then sn0w this?:)) ! I was right that something will appear the next day 😛!
Thank you Zaone.
Not necessarily, from what I've seen MuscleNerd is off on a 10-year reunion with his former high school classmates.
@zaone: maybe you wanted to say at the end that it remains incompatible with 3gs with "old" bootrom
Keep up the good work! Bravo
Old, yes, that's how it is when you write articles at 8 in the morning.
