Steve Jobs will remain actively involved in the development of new products and technologies

During this evening, Steve Jobs, one of the most prominent figures in Silicon Valley, he resigned from the position of CEO held within the Apple company, which he founded more than 35 years ago. Unfortunately, for more than half a year, Steve Jobs was on medical leave, a leave he took because of the fight he has been fighting for several years with cancer, a fight he seems to be winning for the time being. In these months, the former CEO of Apple was actively involved in the management of the company and the development of new products/technologies, and he was even present at 2 Apple conferences where iPad 2, iCloud, OS X Lion and iOS 5 were presented.

Extremely well-informed sources at Apple say he intends to remain involved in developing major future products and strategy and intends to be an active chairman of the board, even while new CEO Tim Cook runs the company day to day

For almost half a year, Steve Jobs assumed the role he will officially enter now, that is, he will only be a member of the board of directors but not CEO. Steve Jobs will be involved as active as in the last months in the management of the Apple company, but he will do it from the position of a director and not a CEO. The good part of this resignation lies in the fact that Steve Jobs will not leave the company he founded. I for one expect to see the same great products, the same conferences for their presentation and the same jovial Steve Jobs on stage every time.

Steve Jobs is one of the engines that keep Apple up there, and without him things would suddenly become much more complicated for the company from Cupertino.
