SMS+ available in Cydia, brings new functions for the Messages application

    SMS+ is a new tweak that was just released in Cydia last evening and which brings a whole series of interesting functions to the Messages application in iOS. The new tweak has a settings menu in the iOS Settings application and from there we can change the way the application works. The tweak is specially designed to significantly improve the experience of using the Messages application in iOS, but keeping the format we are already used to. The most important functions of SMSPlus include:

  • the possibility to activate the quick reply or quick compose function using a gesture;
  • the possibility to set which gestures activate the 2 functions above;
  • the possibility to activate the function of reading received messages together with the name of the sender;
  • the possibility to add timestamps for messages;
  • the possibility to block the Messages application;
  • the possibility of using the Later function to keep a message unread until you have time to read it

     SMS+ brings a good part of the functions of the BiteSMS or iRealSMS applications, but at a much lower price and in a much simpler way to use. Practically, with SMSPlus you don't have to install a separate application, you simply have everything integrated in the iOS interface. SMS+ will be available in Cydia starting today at the price of $1.99.

SMS+ is the best solution to improve your SMS experience on iOS. It integrates perfectly in the native SMS application, adding to it those functionalities you won't ever be able to stay without after having tried them.

SMS+ allows you to quickly reply to an incoming sms without leaving the app you're using, or even bring up (via an Activator gesture) a new window where you can compose a new message, choosing the address from your contacts. It also includes a "Later" feature, which you can use to keep a message unread to read it later (an icon in the Status Bar will remind you that it's there). You can also choose to make your iPhone "speak" an incoming message, maybe when you're driving or you can't look at your iPhone's screen. There are also some other extra options right inside the SMS app, like mark all messages as read, delete all messages, timestamp every message, show/hide conversations and a “Pull to sort” feature, to toggle the conversations sorting between dates and senders .

SMS+ actually improves your SMS experience!
