     RIM has BlackBerry Messenger, Apple will have iMessage and Samsung will not let itself down and will launch ChatON. The new ChatON messaging service will initially be implemented in Samsung Galaxy terminals running Android OS and in mobile terminals with Bada OS and will allow users to: communicate with each other via text messages, send files via the Internet and do a lot of other things things. If Apple wanted iMessage to be simple and easy to use, Samsung makes a more complex service that offers more functions and is compatible with a wider range of mobile terminals.

ChatON will be embedded in all devices running on major platforms, including Bada, Android, BlackBerry, (Apple's) iOS, as well as in other mobile devices, including tablets and (regular) phones.

     Samsung will make the new service compatible with almost all mobile platforms in the near future, yes including iOS which will most likely have an application available in the App Store, but for those without mobile terminals there will be a website from which messages can be sent . Samsung will turn ChatON into a social network where users will have profiles with various information about the use of the network, etc. The service prepared by Samsung seems very interesting, especially because it offers a variety of functions that iOS does not have and will not have in the near future.

      The new service from Samsung will be launched in October in over 100 countries and over 60 languages, and the main victims will be the instant messaging applications available now. My opinion is that if Samsung promotes this platform properly, it will be at least as successful as iMessage. For me, the system is interesting and worth trying, especially since it offers the possibility to talk with anyone.
