City Interactive, the company producing the famous game Sniper: Ghost Warrior announced that in the near future he will release an iOS version of his own creation. The game is a port of the PC/console version and will of course be modified to allow users to use the screen and gyroscope to control the action in the game. Vivid Games is the company that will take care of porting Sniper: Ghost Warrior, but unfortunately we will have to wait until the beginning of 2012 to have the new version available in the App Store and it is understandable considering the size of the version for PC/consoles.

Sniping is poetry in slow motion, up until you pull the trigger. The trigger for the upcoming iOS game based on the well-known Sniper: Ghost Warrior franchise has been pulled by two great Polish companies that teamed up to create a premium quality sniping game. We're proud and excited about this project, and we will use our best effort and knowledge to deliver the very best, elite military experience on the mobile market up to date.

The most interesting part of this news lies in the fact that the game will be built using the Unreal 3 graphic engine from Epic Games, so we are talking about a partnership that will bring the company 30% of the revenues recorded by Vivid Games. The PC/console version has sold several hundred thousand copies and the iOS version will be just as popular if the developers find a good way to implement the entire game control mode. Until Q1 2012 is quite a long time and I hope that the development of the game will not be interrupted.
