Apple is suing Samsung in Great Britain, Samsung is appealing the decision of a German court

To the suite of lawsuits between Apple and Samsung, we add another one introduced by the company from Cupertino on Monday in a UK court. The trial was introduced as a response from Apple to the lawsuit filed by Samsung in June, and of course the Asians are accused of infringing some of Apple's patents in building their own terminals. This new process does nothing but increase the commissions of the lawyers of the 2 companies because each individual process has very long deadlines and the legal battle between the 2 companies will more than likely last for several years.

Apple has sued Samsung in the UK courts, further expanding the myriad countries in which it has taken legal action against the Korean manufacturer over its Android products. The suit was filed on Monday, Samsung told ZDNet UK, explaining that it was a countersuit against the action Samsung filed with the High Court in June. Details of both suits remain sketchy, as the patents in question have not been identified in these cases. Apple's UK action against Samsung takes to at least 20 the total number of patent suits between the two companies that are currently underway. Apple says Samsung's Android smartphones and tablets infringe on Apple patents, while Samsung says Apple's products, such as the iPhone, infringe on Samsung's patents.

Leaving aside the case in Great Britain, we return to the decision of a court in Dusseldorf which prohibits the sale of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet only in Germany. Samsung appealed the court's decision to a higher court that will analyze the appeal and decide whether to admit it or not. If, on the other hand, the appeal from Samsung will be rejected, then the sale of Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablets could be permanently blocked in Germany, leaving the Asian company without any possibility to put its product back on sale.

We also discuss victory recorded by Apple in Great Britain for the title of the thinnest smartphone and we notice that Apple beats Samsung on all fronts, but it remains to be seen how long the luck of the company from Cupertino will last.
