Apple is preparing to release an AirPort Utility application for iOS

In July I was telling you that Apple could allow iDevice owners to make the settings of a Time Capsule or an Airport base station right from iOS and here's how this it will happen soon enough. In iOS 5 GM for some users there is a new setting in the Wi-Fi menu called Manage This Network which, as soon as it is accessed, displays the above message. It specifies that users will be able to set an Airport Station to work with the network they are connected to and all using a simple iOS application.

Of course, the application is not yet available in the App Store, but according to Apple's message, it will be released very soon. Probably on October 12 it will be available because then Apple will officially launch iOS 5 and iTunes 10.5 plus the Card and Find My Friends applications.
