IntelliScreen is a tweak for the iOS platform developed more than a year ago with the idea of giving iDevice owners the opportunity to expand the functionality of their own lockscreen. Well, in the new iOS 5, the people from IntelliBorn take things a few steps further by implementing the new Notifications Center directly in the LockScreen of iOS 5. This implementation brings not only the possibility to read the notifications without unlocking the terminal, but also the option to to modify the way they are presented so that we can close each category of notifications by simply pressing a tab.

The news does not stop here because IntelliScreenX brings the possibility to read emails directly from the LockScreen and we will have the option to read the entire text of the email and to delete or mark the messages as read. We can do the same for the notifications sent from Facebook or Twitter and of course we will be able to access even websites without unlocking the iDevice from our hands. The new version of the Intelliscreen plugin is announced to be extremely interesting because it brings a series of functions that would not normally be implemented by Apple too soon.

IntelliScreenX will be released in beta this week, but the final version will have to be purchased from Cydia for $9.99.
