Video tutorial: Activate multitouch gestures on iPad with iOS 5 without jailbreak (Windows)

     I explained to you in the morning a very simple method by which you can activate multitouch gestures, but that method only works on Mac OS X, so now I have a new one for you that also works on Windows. This method is old, from around March, but theoretically it should still be functional and with its help you should be able to use multitouch gestures on the iPad tablet. Initially the tutorial was made for the iPad 2 tablet but it should also work on the iPad tablet.. You don't need to jailbreak to activate the multitouch gestures, you just have to follow the video clip or the steps below and at the end the multitouch gestures should work without the option to activate them being available in iOS.

  1. Install iBackupBot.
  2. Connect the tablet to iTunes and make a backup. After iTunes finishes the backup, open iBackupBot and select the most recent backup from the list.
  3. In that backup navigate to Library/Preferences/ where you will find the file com.apple.springboard.plist.
  4. Open that file with the included text editor and add the line of code:

<key>SBUseSystemGestures</key>
<true/>

Just below the entrance .

Save the change then restore the backup using iTunes. After restoration, the multitouch gestures will be active but will not appear in your menu and cannot be disabled unless you repeat the process and delete the line of code.

   I haven't tested this tutorial, but it should still work on your tablets. No, this method does not work on the iPhone/iPod Touch.
