Video: iBooks running on iOS 5 jailbroken

If you have iOS 5 installed then you probably know that the iBooks application does not work on your device for now because of the way the jailbreak solution was built for the new version of the operating system released by Apple. Although the Dev Team promised to solve the problem, iH8sn0w took it before them by proving that iBooks can work on iOS 5 jailbroken without any problem, but unfortunately he says that he will not release a patch that will fix the problem. He claims that the method he found does not work 100% correctly and that we should not expect the solution to appear from him.

Managed to fix iBooks when being jailbroken and running iOS 5. The issue was dealing with how redsn0w/sn0wbreeze did sandbox patches in the kernel. For those who don't know, sandbox is a security measure that is used to ensure applications such as Safari don't have access to personal information or system files. This is not a stable fix. So I wouldn't expect a fix from me.

We don't know anything from the Dev Team for now, they released a new version of redsn0w last week but they didn't solve this problem so we probably have to wait a few days/weeks until MuscleNerd manages to implement a patch in a working version of redsn0w.
