A Czech mobile phone operator refuses to sell the iPhone 4S

A mobile phone operator from the Czech Republic announced today it is removing from its offer all iPhone terminals marketed by Apple, including the new iPhone 4S that has just been launched. The reason for this decision lies in the refusal to accept the terms and conditions imposed by Apple for the sale of its devices and the decision seems late considering that the operator is already selling iPhones. The Czech operator Telefonica is probably the first to oppose Apple's policy and there is a possibility that in the future other more important operators will make similar decisions.

Telefonica Czech Republic AS won't sell Apple's new iPhone 4S and will end sales of all Apple's models because of Apple's business terms, Hospodarske Noviny reported, citing Telefonica's local spokesperson Hany Farghali.

Czech units of Vodafone Group and T-Mobile International AG will start selling Apple's iPhone 4s today, the newspaper added.

Probably at the Telefonica operator, the iPhone terminal does not generate very high sales, otherwise I can't imagine how the company's management agreed to give up all iPhone terminals. The first step was taken against the conditions imposed by Apple and now it remains to be seen which major operator will take a similar attitude.
