A US operator refused to sell the iPhone 4S terminal due to the conditions imposed by Apple

This week I told you that an operator from the Czech Republic refused to sell iPhone terminals because of the conditions imposed by the Cupertino company. Well today information appeared according to which the US Cellular operator would have done exactly the same thing this year. The CEO of the operator declared in a conference for the presentation of the financial results that he had discussions with Apple to take over and sell the iPhone 4S terminal in his own network, but he refused because the conditions imposed by the company from Cupertino were not viable from the point of view of profitability .

Dillon said that the carrier had the opportunity to sell the iPhone but that Apple's "terms were unacceptable from a risk and profitability standpoint." Dillon added that the potential strain on the company's network was not a factor in the decision, and that US Cellular remains open to carrying the iPhone in the future.

US Cellular is on the 6th place in the list of mobile phone operators in the US, but it is the second one that we know refused to take over the iPhone from Apple. This information proves that certain companies have the power to refuse the giant from Cupertino and maybe this decision will give others the power to do the same. If the big mobile operators will refuse to accept the conditions imposed by Apple, then it is quite likely that the prices of the terminals will decrease, as the company may be willing to reduce the requirements for subsidizing the prices of the devices.
