You all know that Steve Jobs repeatedly stated that Android OS is a faithful copy of iOS, something that would appear to be true if we look at the way the operating system looks. The whole theory is based on the fact that the "father" of Android, Andy Rubin, worked at Apple in the '90s, when the Cupertino company's engineers were developing the first iOS/iPhone technologies. Steve Jobs says that Andy Rubin stole the ideas from Apple and launched Android bought by Google in 2005, but Eric Schmidt is coming now says Android development started before the iPhone.
I decided not to comment on comments that were written in the book after his death. I don't think it's right...Most people would agree that Google is a great innovator, and I would also point out that the Android efforts started before the iPhone efforts. And that's all I have to say.
It should be noted from the very beginning the nuance of the two products that Schmidt is talking about: Android and iPhone. Apple didn't say what it started working on first, the iPhone or iOS, but I think that the technologies for iOS were made before the iPhone. Even so, it seems that Android was first developed with phones with physical buttons in mind, but after the launch of the iPhone, it was redesigned to work on touchscreen screens. Steve Jobs stated in his biography that he will spend Apple's last penny to remove Android from the market and for now Apple has had several successful attempts to do this but with products running Android OS.
Our lawsuit is saying, “Google, you fucking ripped off the iPhone, wholesale ripped us off.” Grand theft. I will spend my last dying breath if I need to, and I will spend every penny of Apple's $40 billion in the bank, to right this wrong. I'm going to destroy Android, because it's a stolen product. I'm willing to go to thermonuclear war on this. They are scared to death, because they know they are guilty. Outside of Search, Google's products—Android, Google Docs—have shit.
