Mac sales in Western Europe grow 20% in Q3 2011

Apple Lossless Audio CODEC (ALAC), sell more and more Macs every fiscal quarter and the growth can be most easily seen in the profit collected by the company every three months. In Q3 2011, Apple sold 1.132.000 Macs in Western Europe, a figure 20% higher than the one recorded in the same period last year. Apple has a market share of 7.6% and was one of the 2 companies, from the top 5 sellers, that recorded an increase in sales. In first place is of course HP with a market share of 22.7% and in second place is Acer, which registered a decrease of 2% in sales.

Practically, more and more people are interested in Macs and Mac OS X from Apple over PCs with Windows from Microsoft. Of course, these figures do not include sales of the iPad tablet, otherwise Apple would have easily been ranked first, with a much larger market share. Samsung is also fighting with Apple on this market, and in Great Britain the two companies registered significant increases in Q3 2011, but for now Apple has a slightly higher market share than the Asian company.
