iPhone sales triple in the UK thanks to the iPhone 4S

Although there are various stories on the Internet of people who claim that they have problems using the iPhone 4S terminal, in Great Britain the Apple company and tripled sales figures for iPhone terminals in the last month. In October, Apple sold three times more iPhone terminals than in any of the previous 3 months and once again exceeded the sales of Android terminals. The iPhone 4S is of course the terminal that convinced so many Brits to shell out at least £500 and for the month of November, sales are expected to be maintained.

Pent-up UK demand for the new iPhone 4S meant that Apple sold more than three times as many phones in October as in any of the three previous months, eclipsing the rival Google platform, according to data from Kantar Worldpanel ComTech. Data released by the research company show Apple's iPhone took 42.8% of UK smartphone sales in October alone, ahead of all Android phones, which took 35% in the same period. The figures from ComTech also show the UK market is shifting dramatically towards smartphones: sales of smartphones grew by 43% in October, but the overall phone market dropped by 4% in October as "feature phone" sales nearly halved.

Although in the summer it was said that the Samsung Galaxy S II terminal would have surpassed the iPhone 4 terminal in sales, with the release of the iPhone 4S things changed and Apple is once again in first place in the top of the smartphone sellers in Great Britain. Moreover, it must be taken into account that Apple also keeps the old models of the iPhone in stores, which are available either for free or at very low prices, so they convince even more Britons to make a purchase. It will be interesting to see how things will be during the winter when Apple expects record sales.
