Video: Siri lights the fire in the fireplace plus more

Exactly one week ago we show you how much has Siri learned to do, but today we learn that Apple's assistant is capable of performing almost any kind of function. In the video clip above, a user shows us how to use Siri to start a fire in a fireplace, to start a Christmas installation, to turn on a lamp and to turn off all the previously mentioned devices. Everything is done using SiriProxy and ioBridge, two software systems that allow Siri to communicate with any electronic devices and control them based on the commands given by the users.

A MacBook and a PHP script are used to allow Siri to control everything we see, but the Windows platform is just as capable of supporting the system. On the blog to the user who made the video clip, you have instructions that will help you to a certain extent to do everything you see above, but they are useless for an uninitiated person. Unfortunately, we will only be able to do things like this if we learn how to develop our own control systems for Siri because Apple will not offer such functionality to users because it has no way.
