In September I was telling you that by the end of 2011 we will have available 1 million applications for mobile terminals and it seems that this has already been done. Those from MobileWalla I claim that at the moment 991.524 applications are available on the most important mobile platforms, so theoretically we should have crossed the threshold of 1 million already. They only give figures for iOS, Android OS, BlackBerry OS and Windows Phone, but if we take into account the applications available for Palm OS, Symbian OS and the old versions of Windows Mobile, then we probably have over 1 million applications available for mobile terminals.
For the iOS platform, I noticed that several sites revolve around the figure of 600.000 available applications and for Android there are more than 321.000 available if we take into account all the application markets around the world. In just almost 3 years, the number of applications for mobile terminals has increased enormously, and here all the praise goes to Apple, of course, who managed to prove to everyone that applications for mobile terminals can bring money to developers and can greatly expand the usefulness of smartphones . Of course, Apple did not invent the wheel, but Apple managed to convince many developers to make applications and knew how to promote their business very well.
