iPhone 3GS unavailable at mobile phone operators in Romania

I don't know if you have noticed or not, but the mobile phone operators have removed the iPhone 3GS from their offer. Orange only has iPhone 4S in its online store and iPhone 4 in physical stores and the iPhone 3GS is unavailable, while the situation is almost identical at Vodafone. Cosmote doesn't have an online store, but I haven't seen them promote the 3GS that much and I don't think they've ever had it on offer. Mobile operators in Romania focus on the iPhone 4/4S, but the 3GS seems to have been forgotten by them in favor of better and more expensive terminals.

Apple still sells the iPhone 3GS through its own stores and through the operators, but for several weeks now the terminal has been unavailable for purchase from the online stores of the mobile phone operators. The iPhone 3GS is a cheap, decent terminal, which probably would have convinced a number of users to make a purchase over a terminal in the same category but produced by other companies. I suppose that our operators did not want to bear the price of subsidizing this terminal since they have two others on offer, so for now the iPhone 3GS has disappeared from their stores.
