iOS 5 contributes to the increase in the number of new users on Twitter and to the increase in searches made on Wolfram Alpha

In iOS 5, Apple finally implemented compatibility with the Twitter social network so that now users can share links and photos directly from the Safari and Camera applications by simply pressing a button. Apple has included in the iOS settings menu the possibility to log in with a Twitter account, but if we don't have one, we can do it by following a link from the same menu. The collaboration between Twitter and Apple it generated a 25% increase in the number of new users registered on the Twitter social network and during the next year I believe that this figure will continue to grow.

However, Twitter is not the only company that benefits from a collaboration with Apple in iOS 5 because the Wolfram Alpha search engine has had a lot to gain since the iPhone 4S is on the market. Siri, the personal assistant in iOS 5, uses the Wolfram Alpha search engine to answer some of the questions asked by users, and in the first week after the release of the iPhone 4S, the number of searches made using Wolfram Alpha increased 20 times. However, Siri is only available on the iPhone 4S and not on all terminals, so think how much the number of searches would have increased if any iPhone 3GS/4 owner had used the Wolfram Alpha system.

iOS 5 contributes fully to the development of Twitter and Wolfram Alpha, and the big losers here are Facebook and Google.
