If you have a MacBook then you surely know that Apple has omitted to include in its Macs a numpad from which we can easily type the numbers in any application. To solve the problem, some ingenious designers have found a very simple method by which the touchpad of Macs can be transformed into a Numpad. The solution is called Number Keypad Movie and represents a foil that sits above the touchpad on Macs and that has the symbols that we normally find on a Numpad drawn.
Of course, simply pressing numbers on the Numpad will not help you enter numbers in applications, so the designers of the foil have also designed an application that works like the Calculator application on Mac OS X. That application knows how to "read" any touch made on the touchpad in depending on the way the symbols are represented so that you can use it to make mathematical calculations by entering the data directly from the touchpad. Number Keypad Film is currently only in the concept stage, but its designers are determined to transform their creation into a product that will soon be available on the market.
