The lawsuit between Apple and Samsung helps promote the Galaxy Tab 10.1 in Australia

In case you haven't found out yet, Apple managed to block sales of the Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 tablet in Australia for more than a month, but the Korean company managed to cancel the decision obtained by Apple and the tablet is now available for purchase there. Although Apple fought to keep the tablet off store shelves, in the end the company only managed to promote the tablet better than Samsung ever could. Head of Samsung Australia's mobile division stated for an Australian newspaper that the tablet became very famous after this process and the credit goes to the Apple company.

At the end of the day the media awareness certainly made the Galaxy Tab 10.1 a household name compared to probably what it would have been based on the investment that we would have put into it from a marketing perspective.

Of course, these were not the intentions of the company from Cupertino, but the disputes between Samsung and Apple would not go unnoticed by the international press. I think that the money spent by Samsung with the lawyers who defend their cases could be compensated by the budget of the marketing team that does not do as good a job as Apple. There is a possibility that Apple will change its strategy in the future regarding this kind of processes because the company is unable to remove the products from the market and promotes them much more than it would have liked.
