RIM is worth less than Apple's App Store

RIM, the manufacturer of the famous Blackberry smartphones, is going through an extremely difficult period, similar to the one Nokia is going through. For several months, the value of the company's shares has been constantly falling and unfortunately things do not seem to be that good for the Canadian producer. Things are so bad that the value of the company, based on the value of the shares, it is smaller than the value of Apple's App Store. In numbers: The App Store is estimated at 7.08 billion dollars, while the value of the RIM company is estimated at 7.04 billion dollars.

To be honest, the situation is extremely bad both for the company/employees and for consumers around the world. RIM still holds an important market share in the smartphone segment and its disappearance would be catastrophic. Apple and the manufacturers of Android terminals have slowly "broken" RIM's market share and unfortunately, for the time being, the Canadian company has not managed to produce any device with the help of which it can start growing again on the market. Nokia has become almost irrelevant at the moment, it would be too bad for RIM to end up in the same situation because at the moment the competition is extremely beneficial for users.
