Firefox 12 brings full screen support for Lion plus some other interesting news

Firefox is currently one of the most used browsers for browsing the web, but unfortunately the Mac version does not offer as many functions as Google Chrome, but only in certain respects. One of the main complaints of users is that Firefox does not allow use in full screen mode, but this will be resolved soon. In a nightly build of Firefox 12 it was discovered that the browser will finally include the option to use it in fullscreen mode on Lion, but it will bring a new design for the front page where we will be able to see: the most accessed sites, the most recently accessed sites, a top of the more used applications, a chat interface plus links to settings menus.

The Firefox home tab is a lot more exciting. Basically there are two phases: The first phase will add "launchers" at the bottom — one-click links to your downloads, settings, apps, and so on (pictured right). Phase two is a complete reworking of the home page paradigm, weaving in favorite apps, recent websites, and even instant messaging (pictured below). Phase one is expected to roll out with Firefox 12, but at the time of writing the code still hasn't been committed.

You can download a nightly build of Firefox 12 available here but this version is still in the testing phase, so you will definitely encounter problems.
