Apple would have won in Q4 2011 75% of the profit of the entire industry of mobile phone manufacturers

Although it seems very hard to believe, in Q4 2011 Apple seems to have won no less than 75% of the profit and 40% of the receipts of the entire industry of mobile phone manufacturers. ESTIMATE it comes from the novel Horace Dediu who claims that Apple had a profit almost 5 times higher than Samsung which was ranked 2nd in the list of mobile phone manufacturers. Samsung would have collected 16% of the entire industry's profit and the two companies together would have taken 91% of the total profit made by mobile phone manufacturers in Q4 2011. In Q3 2011 Apple collected approximately 56% of the same industry's profit but in Q2 2011 the share was almost 70%.

Compared to the same period of 2010, Apple recorded an increase of approximately 25% in profit, but for 13 consecutive fiscal quarters, the company Apple collects the highest profit among all mobile phone manufacturers. These are of course only estimates based on the financial results presented by the major mobile phone manufacturers and it seems that Apple is starting to earn more and more money from its iPhones. The reason for this increase is of course the high price of the terminals and the low production cost, and this explains why Apple now has 97 billion dollars in the form of financial reserves.

Apple reached 75% of profit share, almost 40% of revenue share and 9% of units share.

Apple and Samsung combined for about 91% of profits with RIM third at 3.7%, HTC fourth at 3.0% and Nokia last at 1.8% of a $15 billion total for the quarter.

I believe that this profit share has no way to increase in the future and for Apple this is a milestone that it could reach again only thanks to an iPhone 5 released before the winter holidays this year.
