Apple would have ordered 65 million Retina Displays with 246PPI from LG and Samsung for the iPad 3 tablet

The fact that the iPad 3 tablet will have a Retina Display is starting to become more and more certain considering that in the last few days we have had more and more confirmations of this. According the publication China Times Apple would have ordered no less than 65 million Retina screens for the iPad 3 tablet, screens that would have 246 pixels per inch. Although China Times does not say whether LG and Samsung have started delivering these screens to Apple's partners, the fact that we know about them and see them in pictures confirms the idea that at Foxconn the iPad 3 production process is in full swing.

The same publication claims that last year Apple only ordered 40 million screens for the iPad 2, so this year Apple ordered 60% more screens for its new tablet. Apple expects the iPad 3 to have much better sales than the iPad/iPad 2 and if it has a Retina Display, quad-core processor, 4G LTE connectivity, a bigger battery and better cameras then this will happen. Apple's competitors are preparing quad-core tablets with Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwtich, but an iPad 3 tablet with the above specifications would make any other product in the same category forget.

The new product would be presented on March 7.
