Apple offers $15 or a Bumper to Americans who bought an iPhone 4

In 2010, Apple launched the iPhone 4 terminal and soon after it was caught in a real media scandal because of the problems the terminal had with the external antennas. Practically, manually covering the area on the lower left side of the terminal had the effect of losing the signal and because of this defect, Apple was sued in the USA. 18 processes were combined into one and its final result is offering a Bumper free or $15 to all Americans who bought an iPhone 4.

The settlement comes from 18 separate lawsuits that were consolidated into one. All share the claim that Apple was “misrepresenting and concealing material information in the marketing, advertising, sale, and servicing of its iPhone 4–particularly as it relates to the quality of the mobile phone antenna and reception and related software. As part of a preliminary approval made this afternoon, US residents who bought Apple's iPhone 4 will be entitled to $15 in cash or a bumper case provided by Apple.

Although Apple offered a free Bumper for several months to all those who purchased the new device, in the end the company will have to pay for the mistakes of its engineers. Fortunately, the new iPhone 4S released in October does not suffer from the same problems, but it comes with its own defects, but Apple has not yet been called to court because of them.
