A few hours ago i0n1c suggested to his Twitter followers that the KakaoTalk Messenger 2.8.8 application should be installed and used. The message he published was forwarded by MuscleNerd to his followers and some they have the impression that the respective application is related to an exploit discovered by i0n1c for iOS 5.1. i0n1c announced a few weeks ago that he would have such an exploit, but he would not send Apple direct instructions on where to find it.
KakaoTalk Messenger 2.8.8 is an application for Internet messaging and nothing more. i0n1c has a habit of providing misleading information on his Twitter account, all with the idea of making fun of people who take it for granted.
UPDATE: It seems that the application would be necessary to jailbreak iOS 5.1 in the future.
